Some retired peeps head to the beach. Me...I'm headed to my forever home! Yeah, it may sound silly to say "I'm retired at 7 years old," but I couldn't be happier to say it. My name is Black Sally, a 55 pound black lab and I have lived my whole life in a cage pumping out litter after litter of pups. Now it's time to kick back and soak up some actual good stuff! Because of my "job," Having a dog-sibling would make me feel way more comfortable in my new environment. I love other dogs and definitely need to live with some. I am improving a lot on a leash and overall I am starting to gaining confidence. Once I bond with my people, I will follow them anywhere. I need a calm, quiet home without small kids. I need a best friend who is understanding and patient as I learn to trust new people. I am a quiet girl and would do well in a house or apartment (as long as I get to stretch my legs at the dog park every now and then). I am house trained and working on crate training. I want to start living this "good life" stuff they keep talking about, but it may take me some time to come out of my shell and do that. I need someone who will keep me safe and give me time. I promise I will love you forever. I'd love to have the chance to see what a loving forever home is.
