Meet Josie
Josie is a senior gal, approximately 8 years of age that was rescued from an Eastern Ky shelter where she was brought in as a stray. This girl has had a tough life and we want to find her the best home.
When the ARC agreed to pull Josie, she had a series of medical issues to deal with prior to arrival. Upon exam, she was found to have a hernia, needed to have 2 teeth extracted, was diagnosed with a disease called ehrlichia which is the human form of lyme disease caused by tick bites and has a gimp in her step. It is believed she may have been hit by a vehicle or has had some trauma to one of her hips, she has a sway in her walk but this does not prevent her from getting around.
Josie is a true couch potato, she loves lounging on the sofa or a comfy chair. She was housed with a 3 year old male weighing 85 lbs and there were no issues amongst the 2. She will to enter a crate if you ask her too, she walks well on a leash and takes treats nicely. This sweet girl needs a retirement home to live out a positive life, we're hoping you may be the right home.
