Meet Vega
Vega is a boxer puppy who is deaf. She is spayed and up to date on all her shots!
She is a very smart and energetic 8 month old boxer mix puppy. Vega is learning the sign for her name (I use the asl letter J), knows the sign for sit and lay and is familiar with the ASL signs for eat and good job( that's just a thumbs up and lots of petting}. She also understands when you shake your finger to say no. VegaLOVES to run and play and is great with most dogs, she does need a fenced in yard. If you have a dominant female they don't do very well together. Vega LOVES to cuddle with you and will follow you everywhere. She hasn't learned not to jump on you when you first get home yet. Vega also loves to chew on toys, especially ones with plastic. The only issue with Vega is that she will guard her resources so I have been feeding her in a separate room and hand feeding her so she knows her food is safe with me. I have cut Vega's front toenails without much fuss and cleaned her ears without a lot of fuss as well.
Vega should go to a home that has some experience with the nature of deaf dogs.
