I am a good listener and listening is one of the loudest forms of kindness! They say that "only those that care about you can hear you when you're quiet" so those are the kind of people I need. My name is Richard and I am a handsome wallflower. I am a 3 year old, 32lb., male, Red Heeler mix. I am on the search for some wonderful, patient people to love me and make me forget I'm shy. I spent the first years of my life outside and I did not have many positive interactions with you human creatures. But I'm liking this indoor, cushy life stuff. Couches...ummm, AMAZING! I am house trained and crate trained, but I need to work on my leash skills. Right now, the leash is pretty scary to me. I get along great with other respectful dogs. I like dogs who respect my personal bubble. I need a nice, cozy, calm house with a privacy fenced yard (no apartments for me please). I am calm, timid, yet very loyal and will follow you to the ends of the earth, but when we get outside, it is party time! I adore running and getting my zoomies on! I really let loose and have some fun! I also do not want to live with any children. I'm sure they are delightful creatures, but they are very loud, crazy, and all over the place so they scare me. My forever best friend will have loads of patience, love, and be willing to help me with my confidence. I have come so far, and may never be comfortable in the spotlight. I just want some to love me, make me feel safe, and be able to enjoy every day together!
