Meet Frankie Jones
Frankie is a spunky, snuggly 8lb 4 year old chiweenie who has been tossed around most of his life, having been returned to various shelters 5 times. He is vocal and energetic and can be a great lap dog. He does not trust children and has nipped before, has some resource guarding history, and is lacking a lot of confidence. He needs a VERY patient, savvy owner who understands his quirks and will work with him to be the good boy we know he wants to be. He loves his walks but will need work to not be so vocal at other people and pets walking in the neighborhood. He does not respond to the "dominant" approach to training a dog, and instead needs reinforcement, patience, and confidence building. He has gotten along well with certain dogs, but because of his troubled past, we will only be adopting him out to an experienced home with no other pets or children..
