Meet Flaca!

This sweet senior girl was rescued from Puerto Rico and is looking for her forever home where she can enjoy retirement. Just look at that sweet face!

Don't let her age fool you - she's still got plenty of spunk and a very loving, happy personality!! There's rarely a moment when her tail isn't wagging. She gets along with other dogs and loves pets from everyone she meets. She does great on a leash and loves going for walks and exploring new things to sniff. She's also got excellent house manners and is crate trained and (mostly) housetrained. Flaca is perfectly content napping on a soft bed, playing with toys or snuggling on the couch for belly rubs. She's got a fairly low energy level, and a quiet home would be ideal for her.

***Foster Update: Flaca is house trained and crate trained. She gets along well with other dogs (though she’s a bit shy at first). She enjoys playing with toys and jumping up at down anytime there’s food or when you get home! She is very easy to take care of and does not require a ton of hands on care - she can go on long walks but she also likes just hanging out at home. She’s got a great energy and really loves people. She has been so great to have around! ***

You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please check out our information about fostering by visiting http://www.homewardtrails.org/foster-a-pet/dog-and-cat-foster-program/
