Meet Betsy

Hello, nice to meet ya! The name is Betsy! You can also call me Betz or Lil Piggy. I am a black and white 10-month-old spayed catten, and I'm quite the unique gal! My eyes are two different colors; my right is a beautiful amber and has a scar from a past injury and my left is a gorgeous green! I'm a very petite cat but I'll still hog your bed!

I have a special little chirp noise that I make and will tell you many stories! My foster mom has only heard me meow on a couple occasions and it was when I really wanted some attention and she wouldn't give me any cause she was busy. Everyone who has met me has thought my chirp is adorable, and I completely agree!

I am a very independent but also very clingy woman. I love sleeping all the time. I'll sleep pretty much anywhere. Including on my foster parents! If I'm not on my own playing or sleeping, I will be climbing all over them for some love and affection. When I do play though, my favorite toys are plastic balls that jingle and laser pointers!

I have all my nails and I do use them, so please provide me with multiple scratching posts as I do sometimes like to pull at the carpet. I'm very good about nail trimmings as well!

I live with three other cats and a dog and I love all four of them. I also live with 9 rats that I enjoy watching from outside their cage. My foster mom has a little sister who adores me, but due to past trauma, I can get very anxious and jumpy causing me to put my claws out and pounce, and I have scratched my fosters on multiple occasions. It was all accidents, but I get very scared easily by certain touches or objects, such as the vacuum. So when vacuuming, please put me somewhere that I can't come near it. Due to all this I am suggesting myself go to a home with kids over 10 or kids that understand my nervousness. The vet believes I had some past trauma that I'm still regaining trust from. I am a very delicate cat who just requires some time and patience.

As any feline auditioning for adoption, I do come with my sad story. I came in to the shelter very sick and I'm still battling that cold. I have a pretty bad URI that flares up randomly, so I won't be able to go home till that is a little more in order. Please continue to call and check to see where I am at with my medications. If you are interested feel free to fill out an application as I'd love to find my forever home!!!

We want to alert you that some communities, landlords, management companies, and insurance agencies have size and breed restrictions, limits on number of pets, and/or require pet deposits or additional fees. Before adopting, we encourage all adopters to know what restrictions may apply to you.
