Meet Scrappy
REQUIREMENTS: a secure, fenced yard suitable for a large dog, no other pets, children 10+
We accept applications from Chatham Kent, Sarnia, Windsor, London and points within these boundaries.
Breed: Lab mix
Age: 4 - 5 years old
Weight: 70 lbs.
Scrappy is a very friendly, social boy who loves people...he is a champion cuddler and playmate! Other favourites include nooking on his stuffed ball, exploring in the yard or leisurely hanging out with his people. He also loves car rides and is a well behaved passenger. Scrappy enjoys going for walks and is developing good leash manners with the use of a gentle leader.
Because he is a big, affectionate boy, he is best with older kids, preferably teenagers, who will not be accidentally knocked over.
He is selective when it comes to making friends with other dogs or cats although he lives with both in his foster home. He needs a home as an only pet......where he can soak up lots of love from his humans.
When first surrendered, Scrappy was underweight and had extensive hair loss. With good quality food, he is at an ideal weight, is very healthy and sports a stunning, thick, glossy coat.
He is extremely smart and knows commands such as sit and shake a paw. With a routine in place, he does not have any accidents in the house.
