Lucy joined us from a Puppy mill in Ohio with another 2 yr old lab (sisters??). Both girls were in horrible condition and required surgery on their eyes as well as treatment for their skin.
A few months and vet visits later and we now have her fur returning nicely, her eyes are healed and she is on the road to looking like the beautiful girl she is.
Lucy will need a special home, she was traumatized by her life in a mill, she is still shy with meeting new people but has attached herself to her foster family. She also will need a home with another dog to help her continue to learn what life as a dog is. A fenced in yard to play and lots of love. She will also need a special diet, she has food allergies so she will need to stay on a limited ingredient diet.

A adoption application must be filled out to meet with any of our foster dogs. All animals are kept in foster homes so there is no shelter for you to visit animal. Please go to http://new2urescue.org if you would like to meet the foster animal or learn more.

All our dogs have been spayed/neutered; treated for worms; heartworm tested (if age appropriate); treated for fleas/ticks; microchip; and examined by veterinarian and given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed.

Adoption fees:
Puppy to 1 yr of age: $275 to $350
1 yr to 6 yrs of age: $250 -$300
6 yrs to 8 yrs of age: $200
Over 9 yrs of age: Adoption fee varies
