Meet Drogo
Calling All Rottie People!!
Drogo is a super sweet, 14 month old, Rottie Who Needs an experienced person.
He was surrendered to one of the specialty hospitals that RTHRS works very closely with. He was hit by a bus due to his previous owner allowing him to be off leash. His owner was given an ultimatum- pay the bill or surrender him. They weren't going to allow him to just euthanize a perfectly healthy puppy at 10 months old..
The results were one of his hind limbs being de-globed and the opposite leg had a clean fractured tibia. Fortunately, neither required surgery.. Poor Drago was so petrified that the techs could not even work with him without him being sedated. Over some time, one of the techs started spending a lot of time with him and even began working on his training.
He is house broken, crate trained and socialized with all different types of dogs ( he's only been around one cat and that's the tough-guy hospital cat named Louie) He’s great with adults who are assertive and know how to take charge of a head-strong male. Hes energetic but when it really comes down to it all he wants to do is cuddle.
Drago will do best in an adult only home or one with teens and up. He is a true one owner: kind of dog who requires an experienced person to give him guidance and structure.
Located- Farmingdale, NY
NY/NJ/CT email adopt@roadtohomerescue.org if you would like to make Drago a part of your family. Dog friendly but a meet and greet is a must
