Loori Terrier Mix Long Island City, NY

Terrier mix Loori is estimated to be about a year old, spayed female who weighs about 20 lbs. Loori is a cute terrier mix needing for a forever home that will help to bring out her personality. She is shy at first, but is expressing her emotion that she also wants to be patted by staring at you with her big round eyes. Although she may not be suitable for a large family with young kids, Loori does not mind a small family with kids. She is submissive, and not aggressive with food either. She follows her furry pack, but she is afraid of large dogs especially when she goes for a walk. The adoptive family must understand that she needs to be assured that she's not going to get attacked.

Because she was a mixed breed, no one wanted to adopt Loori in Korea. All she needs is about a week or two until she gets acquainted with her surroundings. She is almost 95% potty trained, does not bark and does not mind going into the crate if asked. She is just such an awesome dog, and once Loori gets to know you, she will not stop wagging her tail! Other than that, she received a clean bill of health from the vet, and she is ready to be adopted!

We believe people who adopt rescue animals because they are willing to accept a bit of imperfection, and willing to embrace, work/ train and love them no matter what baggage the animal had in the past. It can be challenging, but extremely rewarding. We have seen amazing transformation in our adopted dogs who have been with loving families, and it is our goal to provide all of them with the opportunity. We are at our happiest when we see photos of our adopted animals smile with the new adoptive family, and we hope to find Loori a loving family who would do the same.

*NOTE* We have a 30-mile radius limit from Fairfax, VA for adoption. We require a completed application & home check to adopt. An adoption fee o$500 applies. All dogs are spay/neutered and have all shots prior to adoption. Thank you!
