Meet Hazel
Hazel is a 4 year old female Boxer mix. She is about 40 lbs. She is good with kids.
For Foster Momma has this to say,
Hazel is so sweet. Very curious. She’s ready to go anytime you are and ready to chill and snuggle any time. She is crate trained. She will finish basic school on Monday so she is pretty good with sit, walking on a leash, leave it and watch me. Very treat motivated. She loves toys she can sling around. Her only “fault” is she will jump up. We are working on “off”. She is good with me on that but loves other people so much she forgets her manners. She absolutely refuses to “lay or down” command. She can be a little excited and needs to play. She loves tug of war, fetch (doesn’t always bring all the way back). She gets the zoomies and runs in circles and jumps on the couch. She is an in your face cuddle bug who is not giving up her space in bed. I have not had her out hiking But I would bet she will be great for hiking, running and other activities as she learns more commands. She is sensitive to loud voices and will become submissive and curl up at your feet. She wants to please everyone and learns very quick.... she is stubborn on some things. She waits for her food until given the command “ok”. I have not noticed any food aggression and she is respectful of my dogs bowls (they growled at her one time the first night) I put her in the kennel to board over memorial weekend and they said she did great. I think she will be a great companion dog for an older person who is still active. She has been around kids and does great.
