Meet Zach

Soaking up the sun beneath his blue blanket, 12-year-old Zach has a renewed zest for life, now that he is safely in our care after being removed from Hillsborough County Animal Resource Center. The 14-pound Chihuahua/terrier mix, at first fearful of all things new, has, with gentle patience, been improving daily. With those he now knows and trusts, he is as cuddly as he is cute, and very affectionate. While he has several lipomas (benign fatty tumors) and some dental disease, both issues will be resolved before he is placed in a patient and dog-savvy home without small children to call his fur-ever.
