His expressive face is impossible to resist, and sweet 7-year-old Buttons warmly welcomes all the attention he receives. At 29 pounds, this beautiful Bichon Frise was being fattened up for use as a bait dog for a dog-fighting ring before being rescued by a fellow rescue group and then transferred to us. Gentle and amiable, he thrives on affection and gladly greets people by climbing into their laps and licking their chins. Having had a full dental procedure and a grouping of fatty lumps removed, he is now on a diet with the goal of losing approximately 12 pounds while on the hunt for a loving home to call his.
