"When no one loves you, you have to pretend that everyone loves you" - Sally Brown

Well, it's a good thing I don't have to worry about that - everyone loves me!

Hi ! I'm Sally. Yep, Sally Brown. My brother [Charlie Brown] and I were born in mid-February, and will be looking to find our new human families by mid-April. I am a sweet little Beagley girl, and I just love everyone. As a typical Beagle, I would be best in a single-family home with a fenced yard (no electric fences). I can be a bit vocal, so apartment or townhome living would not be the best opportunity for me.

As a typical 6-week old puppy, I am VERY active and will need lots of play time. I am learning about potty training, but I am still too young to be able to hold 'things' for more than about an hour. Please, if you are considering adopting me (or any puppy), consider having some type of arrangements so that I can be let out every hour or two, until I get a little older. I am working on staying on the potty pads used in our foster home, but sometimes I don't realize I am not exactly on target. It seems this takes a little practice, so I hope you will be patient with me while I learn the ropes. :) Also, as a very young puppy, I am just at the best age to form 'attachments' with my humans, so having someone to come let me out to potty would keep me from feeling so lonely, if you cannot be home with me.

Just so you know, my Mother, Josie, was rescued by some awfully nice people who brought her to foster Mom Beth's, so that she could have her babies in a wonderful and warm home environment. Mom had to live her whole life outside in a pen, so my rescuers are looking for a family that will love us enough to give us our very own space inside their hearts and their home. If this might be you, please continue reading for more information about adoption through Green Dogs Unleashed.

We are happy to consider applicants from out of state. However, if the applicant is approved, they must be willing to come to our location in Troy, VA, for a meet and greet. If all parties agree that the pup and family are a good fit, they would take the pup home at that time.

For more information about our mission and for an application for adoption, please go to www.greendogsunleashed.com.

GDU does ask a minimum adoption donation of 300.00. This is a minimum donation and does not cover all expenses, as we are funded solely by the angels and volunteers willing to donate time and finances. This minimum donation includes DAPP, rabies if age appropriate,, heartworm test and preventative, if age appropriate, and flea and tick treatment, as well as neutering or spaying if the animal is medically sound to undergo surgery. This minimum donation does not even begin to cover the actual expenses each animal has while in rescue, but does go directly towards vet care for our rescue animals. In an attempt to avoid tummy upset from a sudden change of food, the foster family may include a small, transitional bag of the food the dog/puppy has been eating. And if the dog/puppy has grown attached to a special item (like a toy or blanket), they may send that along, as well.
