Meet Kane
This adorable little man is Kane.
Kane is a nine month old orange tabby that is just as sweet as can be. He's pretty laid-back for a kitten and loves to be cuddled. Once he fully feels comfortable with you, he'll even softly pet your face in return. How cute is that!
Kane is pretty scared of dogs but might do okay with another medium energy level cat if given a proper introduction.
Adopt from the shelter rather than going to a pet store, through the newspaper, or online! Cats adopted from the shelter are tested for FIV/FeLV (Feline Aids/Feline Leukemia), have the FVRCP combination vaccine, are spayed/neutered, wormed, flea checked and microchipped.
Compare the adoption fee of $50 for an adult cat with the cost of these services at your local veterinarian and you'll see that Adoption IS the Best Option!! Adoption fee for a kitten up to one year old is $65; 2/$75. (Senior cats already spayed/neutered to seniors age 60 and over, adoption fee only $10.)
The shelter is open for adoptions 6 days a week from noon-4:00pm (Closed Tuesdays). SEE OUR PET OF THE WEEK VIDEOS WITH THE SCRANTON TIMES AT http://www.griffinpondanimalshelter.com. Our adoption applications can also be found on our website.
Adoption fees subject to change.
