Meet Pecan

Pecan is a beautiful young girl weighing around 50 lbs. She is a mix, probably a Carolina Dog and Shar Pei maybe? Even though she is a mom and gave birth to 8 beautiful babies, she is still a young girl herself. I suspect no more than 1 and a half years old. Pecan has a beautiful red coat with mesmerizing golden eyes and toenails to match. She has the cutest little white chest too. Pecan is crate trained, and mostly potty trained. She only has an accident if you aren't paying attention and letting her out enough. She is a little hesitant on leash probably because of her history. She has come a long way after being tied up pregnant!

Pecan has learned how good people and other dogs can be, loves to play and is one of the happiest girls I've ever seen! She gets along well with her foster sisters (small, medium and large dogs) and is quite submissive to the nasty dog friends that are sometimes out there! All she wants to do is play. She will steal every dog toy in the house and take it to her crate; if you aren't careful, she may take a shoe or two as well. Pecan always has a toy in her mouth and wags her entire body non-stop when she sees her people. She can be a little shy with new men, but warms up quickly. She is very quiet too and rarely ever barks. She also enjoys car rides but her favorite pastime is snuggling with her foster mom and getting body rubs. It is time for Pecan to find her forever home and share all the happiness and love she has to offer with her forever family

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccinations, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member.

Our Adoption Form can be completed online https://savinggracenc.org/how-to-adopt/. Please visit our new website at https://savinggracenc.org

An Adoption Form is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a potential adoptee or a foster home.

Sending an Adoption Form does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes.

If you'd like to donate to help cover the cost of care for these wonderful dogs awaiting new homes, please visit https://savinggracenc.org/giving/

Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
