Meet The General
Don't we all love to have someone who looks up to us for advice and help? Meet The General. He is a handsome, burly guy who showed up several weeks ago at a cat feeding site and with his good manners became part of the group right away. Normally new, friendly cats are picked up and brought to the vet for an exam and any needed care right away but this big fellow took over watching the younger cats who adored him and the rescuer wanted to wait. He let them follow him around during the day and he kept them safe at night just like any good general would do.
Now it is his turn to have someone take care of him rather than return to the streets with the feral cats, who are happiest outside. General received all his vet care 2/22 and is now up for adoption. Most likely he was turned out when his owner moved and we do not know his past but we want this shy fellow to have a bright future with you. This being his first day he is not smiling for the camera.
To apply for a cat or kitten, please fill out the adoption application from this page:

If a cat is listed on our website, that means that cat is still available for adoption.
The Shelter is staffed primarily by volunteers so adoption meetings take place on Saturdays from 11 - 1:00 during adoption hours, or by appointment. Our adoption fee for adult cats is $125 if 5 years old or younger and $75 for cats 6 years and up. The adoption fee includes the first set of vaccines, dewormer, microchip, combo testing (for FeLV and FIV) and spaying/neutering.
