Meet Karla

Karla’s been loving her time in foster, but she’s dreaming of a forever home! She’s a sweetheart who hasn’t met a human stranger (although sometimes she does have to speak up to try and get them to come say hi). She loves going out and about and meeting new people and getting pats from them. Karla even took to hanging with my friend’s kids (ages 4 and 7) and didn’t mind any of their antics one bit. She’s also very chill when I leave for work, and just curls up on the couch and waits for my return.

Karla’s has a lot of skills she’s been showing off, like leash-walking, car-traveling and housetraining. She’s a smart cookie and has learned to sit to get her leash on and off (or for a treat), and has even started to learn to lay down on command as well. She’s still learning about playing with toys, but a picture was captured the first time she played with a toy, a little crinkly black and white skunk which she’s been quite taken with.

She doesn’t let her blindness hold her back, and neither should you! She may not be able to look back into your eyes, but if you meet her, she’ll surely wiggle her way into your heart!

We are fostering sweet blind Karla. She is amazing. She walks great on the leash. Is house trained and gets along with our dogs. Karla needs to be in her forever home where she can memorize the layout and routine. She would do great in an apartment or one level home. She is "a little" overweight and could use some daily walks. Like I said she is great on a leash. Please share and let's see if we can get this sweet girl settled.

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccinations, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member.

Our Adoption Form can be completed online https://savinggracenc.org/how-to-adopt/. Please visit our new website at www.savinggracenc.org

An Adoption Form is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a potential adoptee or a foster home.

Sending an Adoption Form does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes.

If you'd like to donate to help cover the cost of care for these wonderful dogs awaiting new homes, please visit https://savinggracenc.org/giving/

Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
