Meet Poppy
Poppy is a senior chihuahua mix who is ~10-11yo and only weighs around 8lbs. While he may be older and have some of those common older ailments (hard of hearing, limited sight), he is a sweet boy who doesn’t let these issues et him down. Poppy navigates his surroundings quite well, and loves to go on walks on leash and will go as long as you are willing to allow him to walk (which may explain how he ended up on his own and at the shelter). He is also loves to eat and will scarf down his food. Fast movements toward him will start him but he loves to be held and will settle right down next to you once picked up. Poppy rode great today in the passenger seat to see the vet and actually looked out the window a few times.
