Meet Vida

Vida (aka Fluffy Puppy) is a 3 months old Retriever/Chow mix puppy. She’s already a big puppy at 30 lbs and will be a large adult dog. She is doing really well using her crate at night, when her foster family is gone and for meals. She hasn’t had any accidents in the house but does follow the lead of the other dogs in her foster home to go outside. Vida would do best in a home with a companion dog and a fenced in yard. She finds comfort in another buddy and an older dog will help teach her the routine in a forever home. Vida came to Saving Grace very shy and not sure about people. She has come a long way and will now come up for love and ear scratches. She needs a family that will understand her hesitant ways and go slow with introducing her to new things. As she gets older and is shown love and consistent guidance she will become more confident and trusting. Her fur is super soft to scrunch in your hands and she gives good kisses too. She loves, loves, loves to play with other dogs and a good game of chase is always on her mind. She ‘s a big silly puppy that will make you laugh and smile.

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccinations, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member.

Our Adoption Application and Adoption Contract can be downloaded from our website savinggracenc.org or the Petfinder Homepage. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please e-mail a completed Adoption Application to savinggrace@savinggracenc.org. An Application is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a potential adoptee or a foster home.

Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption.

Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
