Meet Aurora on Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 12 -2 p.m. at:
Kriser's Tysons/Falls Church
7505 Leesburg Pike, Ste., 120A
Falls Church, VA 22043

Aurora is about two and a half years old and 40ish pounds. She was rescued from a hoarding situation with her four puppies. Although she spent her whole life tied to a barrel outside, she managed to take excellent care of her babies, even through the hard cold snap in January. She was severely underweight when she got to her foster home, but she would not eat until the puppies had had their fill. It took some TLC to get her strong and healthy, and now she spends a lot of time playing with her son (the only puppy not yet adopted - the girls have found forever homes). She’s extremely gentle and loving, and getting used to the activity of her foster home. She’s working on house training and crate training, and loves to snuggle both her people and her son. In public, she will greet anyone she meets with a wagging tail and a request for petting. While she can sometimes be nervous with new dogs, she’s good with the other dogs and the child in her foster home, and the only cat she’s seen she ignored.

You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please check out our information about fostering by visiting http://www.homewardtrails.org/foster-a-pet/dog-and-cat-foster-program/
