To my potential adopter-

My name is Mittens, and I was surrendered to the shelter on January 2nd because I did not get along with the cats in my previous home. I am a 6-year-old neutered male. Shortly after I came to the shelter, I got a kitty cold so a staff member took me in to be fostered. She found that I am a wonderful cat who likes lots of attention. I am not fond of strangers and would do best in a quiet home with no other pets.

I can be very demanding about wanting to be petted and held. I like to crawl up close and sit on your shoulders. I do get vocal sometimes and will enjoy telling you stories. I am not declawed, but I don't use my nails very often. If you look at my paws, you will notice I have extra toes!

My foster mom picked me up often and that is my favorite thing. When she leaves me, I miss her and will cry at the door when I can hear her but can't see her. I like to sit with you, but do have difficulty getting onto the bed as I don't jump very high. I do not chew on things or get into things I am not supposed to. When you're gone, I enjoy being able to lie on a nice comfy bed that has some shelter over it so I can feel secure.

I am up to date on all of my vaccinations. I do have a mild heart murmur. The veterinarian that saw me says it isn't too bad right now. Please talk with one of the helpful staff members here to find out more information on it.

My foster mom says that I am wonderful, handsome boy who just needs to find my forever home. If you have questions for her, she would love to talk to you about me, as I am her favorite subject.
