Meet Duke

The name carries a connotation of regal and handsome, not a wonder why this young black lab dude was donned Duke when he arrived. Duke is about 1-2 years old and approximately 45 lbs full grown which places him on the smaller side which will appeal to lots of lab lovers. Duke brings all of the things we love about labs in a smaller package. Athletic, smart, active and loyal all describe this amazing young guy who will become like your shadow before the blink of an eye. He would be an ideal family member of any kind as long as there is regular activity and exercise involved as well as lots of snuggles and love. He is a little on the shy side still, as things at the farm and in suburbia are relatively new to this guy who has probably been a stray most of his life. But boy does he do shy cute, with lots of tail wags and a gentle and slow approach, it is clear that all he wants is one small fraction of the adoration he has to give to come back to him. Duke would be great with another dog to help him build confidence but will also do so on his own with companionship and even activities like basic training and socialization with his peeps. So, ring in the new year with a dude as handsome as Harry or William but a ton more snuggly and adoring!

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their shots, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member.

If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please e-mail a completed Adoption Application to savinggrace@savinggracenc.org. An Application is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a foster home and potential adoptee.

The Adoption Application and Adoption Contract can be downloaded from the Petfinder Homepage or our new website at www.savinggracenc.org or by clicking on the links below: Click here to download an adoption request today. Click here to download an adoption contract. Click to see our events! Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption.

Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
