Meet Darlene

Sweet and pocket sized lab Darlene has blossomed like a gorgeous butterfly since her arrival at the farm but is just going to keep getting better and better with time and companionship! See Darlene, who is abt 2 years old and 20-25 lbs full grown, arrived to the farm with a friend and they had clearly never felt the kindness of a human hand, initially shying away from any kind of contact. Leaps and bounds this girl has become a lovely young lady who has been out on foster weekends, learned about baths clearly as her coat is shiny and growing more gorgeous by the day and wiggles her backside in a most adorable way when approached by a familiar face. Darlene has never lacked confidence in her ability to get aonng with other dogs and would be wonderful in a home with bigger confident dog to help pave the way. Darlene would be most at ease in a home without lots of toddler noises and play but would really adore to be with older children who relish snuggling while watching Utube or making slime on a Saturday afternoon. There is nothing demanding or presumptuous about this girl and she waits patiently for everything not to mention impeccable crate manners and nary a bark or a whine to be heard on any day of the week! We admit we are not really sure of Darlene's lineage but are sure that she looks like a lab in a compact and adorable package. That being said, Darlene will prove to be a unmatched companion in her loyalty and trust once her forever family shows the kindness of heart and patience of hand that a true family can bring!

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their shots, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member.

If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please e-mail a completed Adoption Application to savinggrace@savinggracenc.org. An Application is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a foster home and potential adoptee.

The Adoption Application and Adoption Contract can be downloaded from the Petfinder Homepage or our new website at www.savinggracenc.org or by clicking on the links below: Click here to download an adoption request today. Click here to download an adoption contract. Click to see our events! Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption.

Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
