Murphy Doberman Pinscher & Border Collie Mix Eau Claire, WI

Hi There! My name is Murphy and I am in need of an active home that will keep me well exercised and happy. My previous owners loved me very much and did a great job in teaching me many things like sit, lay, come, shake, stay, bang, high five, heal, off, and how to play fetch. As you can see, I love to learn new things. As time went on they found that they had less and less time to spend with me and wanted me to always be happy, so out of love they surrendered me to the shelter knowing that the perfect home to match my enthusiastic personality would be found, and there you are!! All you have to do is follow your heart to the shelter to meet me, and the staff will guide you from there!

I am a somewhat shy 1-year-old neutered male looking for a home without small children as my shelter safer tests did show that I have some food and rawhide aggression - older children would be fine. I am friendly with strangers, but highly selective about who my dog friends are. I must also go to a home without cats.

I love attention and I listen to what you have to say. For example; the other day during one of my walks I found something in the snow and picked it up. My walker told me no and I willingly let go of my new found treasure. My walker was so proud of me and I was grateful for the treat I received for being a good boy!! I really do love treats!

I love to play fetch and swim and I'm a great running partner on a leash. I also like to run and play in a large fenced in area where I can stretch my legs and have fun. Oh, and please remember that I like chew toys (lots of them) as I'm pretty good keeping myself entertained - I like to throw my toys up and try to catch them.
