Meet Richard

So we know folks are gonna think we have lost our minds, but we are pretty sure Richard is a direct descendant of Sally Field who played the Flying Nun in a sitcom in the late 1960’s and please do Google that if you have never heard of it! See Richard kinda looks a whole lot like a Chihuahua Flying Nun with ears that go on for days and a personality that just never disappoints! Do we need to say anything else really? Ok, if how stinking adorable this little guy is is not enough, Richard is the consummate gentleman who has shown himself to be a wonderful example of a non-yappy, non high maintenance little dog who is wonderful in his crate, patient, friendly and always up for something fun and never disappoints. He is about 1 year old and 15 lbs full grown which makes him a simply adorable size and btw, he looks beyond dapper in a sweater on these cold winter days! Richard has been a friend to all dogs he has met since his arrival and would be great with another dog, but solo is likely just fine and even cats would probably be tolerated without the blink of any eye. Richard would be the perfect match for pretty much any kind of family. He would happily ride through North Hills in your arms or hike the trails at Umstead park as he is both little dog and big adventure in one body. Richard, and his most adorable ears, are going fly out these gates REAL soon so if you had best fly on over to your computer and put an application in ASAP!

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccinations, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member.

Our Adoption Application and Adoption Contract can be downloaded from our website savinggracenc.org or the Petfinder Homepage. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please e-mail a completed Adoption Application to savinggrace@savinggracenc.org. An Application is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a potential adoptee or a foster home.

Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption.

Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
