Meet Huggy Bear
If you were at our recent Christmas Party, you just may remember, this 13 year old hugging machine known fittingly as Huggy Bear. Huggy likes to great everyone he meets with a hug, as can be seen in his pictures and video. This old boy is a front paw declaw, who has both hearing and vision problems and is getting a little senile, but he also just may be the most affectionate kitty ever! Huggy recently went to the vet and is in pretty good shape except for having slight renal failure. This just means that he needs to eat a special diet of Hill's KD or other such foods that are good for his kidneys.
HB gets along well with all cats young and old and the same can be said for people. He is a very clingy kitty and will gladly repay your kindness with a near infinite supply of hugs. Huggy Bear knows he's no spring chicken and he has problems associated with being a senior, but he insists he has so much love left to give to the right person or family and wants to go home right meow.
Adoption Fees: $60 for Cats
All our pets are spayed, neutered, and up-to-date on all shots. Our dogs have been tested and are presently on Heartworm prevention. The Animal Refuge Center has these and many more pets waiting for a good home. Note: The Animal Refuge Center has a "No-Declaw" policy. Our cats are too old to be declawed without risk of serious behavioral problems.
