Meet Tangerine
Adorable and friendly Tangerine was adopted from us in January but was just returned due to circumstances beyond his owner's control. He loves our cage-free room and has gotten along with the other cats he has shared it with. Perhaps due to his time spent outside fending for himself, he does startle easily when he hears a loud noise nearby. Because he can be nervous and does not enjoy being picked up, we feel a home with children ages 10 and up would be best for him. He really enjoyed the company of the 11-year-old who was a frequent visitor in his most recent home.
He would also like a home with no loud dogs and only cats that love other cats. He is very friendly with our volunteers and purrs and purrs when we pet him and likes sitting in laps. He loves a sunny window with a view of the birds and squirrels and also likes to take his afternoon nap on our manager's desk.

If a cat is listed on our website, that means that cat is still available for adoption. The Shelter is staffed primarily by volunteers so adoption meetings take place on Saturdays from 11 - 1:00 during adoption hours, or by appointment. Our adoption fee for adult cats is $125 if 5 years old or younger and $75 for cats 6 years and up. The adoption fee includes the first set of vaccines, dewormer, microchip, combo testing (for FeLV and FIV) and spaying/neutering.
