Frito Labrador Retriever Mix Grove City, OH

Hi, I'm Frito and yes, I’m a Bandito.* I'm a neutered, 63 # (chocolate) Lab mix baby with a heart of gold and a great attitude. My papers say I’m deaf but I have some limited hearing in specific ranges. It’s hard to know what’s deafness and what’s just “Lab hearing loss”.
I'm totally housebroken and love to play in the yard with my BFF Hugo. The most fun is to hit the doggie door really hard, run down the ramp, bark at stuff, run back up the ramp, and tell everyone in the house how exciting it is in the yard. I can do that over and over again if you want me to. I find other dogs fascinating and love to play with everyone but sometimes I’m a little annoying to older dogs because I’m so enthusiastic! When I’m not busy playing with one of my BFFs, I love cuddling with people on the couch.
*About the Bandito thing, I can’t help it, I’m kind of a typical Lab, EVERYTHING goes in my mouth. I’m learning a new command, “Drop it” and I’m smart so I’m getting pretty good at it. Since I have an “active mouth”, it’s best that I rest in my crate when the humans are away. I like to work on a frozen kong before I have a little nap.
I’m learning to use a Gentle Leader to work on my walking manners cuz I'm strong and outdoors is so exciting. I’m pretty good at Sit and we’re working on Down and Stay (that one is REALLY hard!). Plus, I’m learning “Off!” cuz sometimes I like to give surprise hugs. I have been learning about cats and I’m pretty good except when they make noise. Then I think they want to play…which, as it turns out, is not always true ?.
But I have a serious side and despite my youth, I’m a pretty good watchdog. I have a big bark that should deter anyone foolish enough to try to enter my house.
I think I’d be really happy if I had some kids to play with and/or another dog in a house with a fenced-in yard. Won’t you come meet me and let me show you what a great addition I’d be to your family?
