PLEASE NOTE:: MARCI has a pending adoption with a potential adopter who has been approved through our screening process. Her meet has been scheduled and if all goes well, MARCI will be adopted. We will then remove her profile from our website and Petfinder.

Meet MARCI:: New to our rescue:: 2-3 years old, Spayed Female Great Dane, 115 lbs.

PLEASE READ MY BIO BEFORE APPLYING TO ADOPT ME.

Marci is a wonderful and sweet young girl who just loves to have a lap to sit in! She loves being near and playing with her foster family's other medium and large dogs. She's an incredibly sweet girl and very playful, house broken, does well in a crate, knows basic commands, and good with other larger dogs.

She'd do best in a home with at least one other med/large dog who loves to play. She loves to be around people and other animals, and will lay down next to them, or playfully follow them around the house.

She is very treat motivated and eager to please, but Marci has shown some food guarding tendencies towards the other dogs at feeding time in her foster home. Her experienced fosters are working on this with her and we will post updates of her progress, but she will need an experienced adopter to continue this progress.

Marci loves people and children, but due to her size, will require a home without small children (13 and up only). Although Marci is great with other dogs, we do not recommend she go to a home with a small dog that she could possibly step on and hurt during play or a nice romp around the yard. Dog savvy cats are ok, but Marci is very playful with them, so they need to be tolerant.

A fenced yard of appropriate height for a Great Dane is REQUIRED to adopt Marci.

We are looking for past or present experience with Great Danes and/or Mastiff type/breed dogs to adopt Marci.

Adoption area for Marci is within a one hour radius of Anderson Township, Cincinnati.

$200 adoption fee. Marci is spayed, current on vaccines, heartworm tested negative, current on heartworm and flea prevention, and microchipped.

Once your application is submitted, you will be redirected to a confirmation page on our website. This is your confirmation that we received your application. Please read the page thoroughly so you will know what to expect next in our adoption process.

Adoption events are held every Saturday in our thrift store from 1:00 to 4:00pm. Please complete your adoption application in advance so our volunteers have time to screen and contact potential adopters.

IMPORTANT: All applications are reviewed in the order they are received and qualifications are based on best fit for each individual pet. A volunteer will contact you if you are selected for a meet with adoptable pet. Final approval is always made in person.
