Meet Jed

Welcome one of our new good ole southern boys, Jed! Jed is a 7-8 year old hound who is mostly white with a few brown patches scattered throughout a coat that tells of a less than cushy life of a hound who likely has never known a home and loving family of his own. Jed is full grown at about 60 lbs of slow southern sweetness who, in spite of living on his own, has a inherent kindness and sweetness that makes you just want to sidle on up next to him and snuggle and maybe share stories of the places he has gone and the things he has done. Jed has very few requirements for a happy life because all he has ever had at best have been simple things. Jed would love regular meals and a soft place to lay his head at night. He would love parents, children, dog friends and likely even cats though will take any of this combination in his forever home. While there have been whispers of sightings of Jed breaking into a slow jog, most days he just wanders about at the pace in which he lives his life, slow and steady. He would fit in with pretty much any other dogs and has not uttered a sound that has been heard yet. He is happy to sleep quietly in his crate but would certainly much prefer a soft bed as potty training in something this guy left behind years ago. If you are interested in a companion who will hold down the porch on any night and listen happily to the tales of you day, whose loyalty will be like no other and appreciation exceeding anything you could imagine, Jed is your man!

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccinations, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member.

Our Adoption Application and Adoption Contract can be downloaded from our website savinggracenc.org or the Petfinder Homepage. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please e-mail a completed Adoption Application to savinggrace@savinggracenc.org. An Application is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a potential adoptee or a foster home.

Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption.

Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
