Meet Jolene
9-month-old Jolene is a very sweet young cat. Her green eyes sparkle when she sees a volunteer open her cage and present her with a bowl of food. She purrs when the volunteer stays and talks to her while she daintily takes a bite a two. Who doesn't like dinner company? Jolene had a family but they were evicted. They gave her to a neighbor in the same bldg. who then put her outside the day after. For several days she would dart back into the bldg, and paw at her door, but they were gone. Hungry and scared she moved on looking for someone else to help her. She was lucky to find someone who knew she was a cat in need. One phone call later here she is at our shelter, recuperating from her ordeal and toasty warm with friends to care for her until she is adopted.
Jolene will be spayed 10/19 and be up for adoption 10/21. We have been told the original family had young children.

If a cat is listed on our website, that means that cat is still available for adoption. The Shelter is staffed primarily by volunteers so adoption meetings take place on Saturdays from 11 - 1:00 during adoption hours, or by appointment. Our adoption fee for adult cats is $125 if 5 years old or younger and $75 for cats 6 years and up. The adoption fee includes the first set of vaccines, dewormer, microchip, combo testing (for FeLV and FIV) and spaying/neutering.
