Meet Bird
Bird is a 3yr old VERY high drive birddog who loves birds more than anything else is the whole world! Because of his drive and love for hunting he will need to go to a HUNTING HOME ONLY. While he has a great “off switch” in the house, and will lay at your feet or spend time cuddling in your lap, he is 100% bird dog. He absolutely loves to hunt and needs plenty of room to run! His foster Dad is the trainer for Mountain K9 LLC and has been working with Bird for the last several months and has been doing a lot of bird work and obedience training. Bird has learn a lot since he has been with Kevin and Felicia, He is food motivated, but can be very stubborn so learning his ques will be key.
He is crate trained, house broke, and a great watch dog. While his current foster has several other dogs, Bird prefers to be by himself or with his person. Bird is very enthusiastic and athletic when it comes to working birds and doing field work and is looking for someone who shares is joys.. He will make the perfect hunting companion!
If you are interested in adopting Bird or another OESR dog, you must complete the application process at www.oesr.org. We will not be able to answer your questions about this dog until you have completed the application process and are approved to.
All adoptive homes must have a fenced yard or other type of containment or boundaries for the dog. Vet and personal reference checks as well as a home visit will be conducted prior to final adoption approval for all OESR dogs.
Adoption fees range from 250.00 to 395.00
