Meet Lawrence
Let me start out by saying that I was a little misunderstood when I was rescued. You see, I was terrified of everything and I didn't know that nice people existed. Once I realized that, man I am loving life! I love everyone, kids, adults everyone! I even like most dogs, I am "top dog" so I prefer females but I am getting along well with my foster "pack". I am pretty oblivious to cats. I don't like them or dislike them.
A little about myself, I am Lawrence, a 5 yr old, extremely handsome, Chocolate Lab. I am about 64lbs. I am also great in the house, and potty trained. The crate thing...oh don't get me started...I don't like it, but if I have to, I will.
Here is what I NEED in a forever home:
1) Due to my past, I have trust issues. I need a family that will be patient with this. It takes me some time to warm up, but once I do, you will be pleasantly surprised!
2) I LOVE to explore, in the car (I'm a barker but just in the car, that is how you know I am excited), out doors, in doors- you name it. I need a family that will have patience with my barking (I am trying to work on this), take me places, and let me enjoy life with them.
3) Unconditional love-period. I am learning, thanks to my foster mom, that I am one big loveable guy, and I realize I NEED all of the attention I can get. While I get along well with other dogs, I would be more than happy to find a family that can focus just on me. My foster mama says I deserve it!
4) I have to have a privacy fenced yard- I can jump pretty high, and my foster mom is scared that I would be able to climb a chain link fence. Personally, I think she's crazy.
Well, I think that is all of my wants and needs. I sure hope that you will find me as amazing as my foster family does and send in an application!!!
My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
