Harley Dachshund & Beagle Mix Troy, VA

Harley !! Hello everyone! I'm Harley!! I am about 2 years old, and they tell me I'm a Beagle mix. I'm not sure what that means, exactly, but I do know that I'm a LOT of fun to be around. I came to Green Dogs Unleashed with several other dogs from shelters that were flooded out by Hurricane Harvey, and I'm looking for someone who will love me enough to take really great care of me, forever and ever! Will that be you? My foster family has 3 other dogs, and we already get along like brothers. I am a bit shy when I meet strangers but in just a minute or 2, I'm over that silliness and am giving kisses. I do my business outside, sit on command, and don't mind sharing treats and toys with my foster brothers. My foster Mom has taken me to the dog park and to the river, and I had a really great time! I AM NOT A GOOD OPTION FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN UNDER 10, because their fast movements startle me.

I am still learning things about myself that I did not know, and am working to teach those treasures to my foster family, so that they can tell you. As soon as we get things ironed out, we will be back with an update! GDU does ask a minimum adoption donation of 300.00. This is a minimum donation and does not cover all expenses as we are funded solely by the angels and volunteers willing to donate time and finances. This minimum donation includes DAPP, rabies if age appropriate, heartworm test and preventative, if age appropriate and flea and tick treatment, as well as neutering or spaying if the animal is medically sound to undergo surgery. The foster family may send along a small transitional bag of the food they have been on, and if they have grown particularly attached to a special toy, blanket, etc., they may send this as well. This minimum donation does not even begin to cover the actual expenses each animal has while in rescue, but does go directly towards vet care for our rescue animals.
