Boomerang Jack Russell Terrier Normal, IL

Did you say 'ball'? This cute little 11 year old Terrier has a lot of life left in him and he is ready to play--and preferably with a ball. He came to us in sad shape with hair loss and quite skinny. In one week he has gained 3 pounds and is well on his way to recovering lost muscle mass. Boomerang is ready to go home on Saturday, September 23.
Boomerang's foster has this to say about him:
"Boomer is the dog everyone wants. He’s the perfect size and demeanor. He walks on the leash perfectly. He is potty trained. He loves attention, but also can be independent. He gets along well with our 85lb dog. He sometimes doesn’t like to share the attention, but who can blame him, aren’t we all a little like that from time to time?! He LOVES laying under blankets. He has no signs of food aggression and seems to love all people. He does get a wee bit protective over his toys, but there’s never been an issue that “Boomer” hasn’t solved. He knows sit and listens when you call for him. He loves to be in the same room as you but can also be apart laying on the couch or he’ll find a sunny area to lay in. He has a hoarse bark and doesn’t bark often. We are working on putting some more weight on him, to help regain muscle. He takes medicine well and adores to be petted. He may be a “senior” dog but has energy when you want him to play or participate in an activity. But also a dog who is quiet and low key and enjoys a good sleep. We leave him out to roam with our other dog and there’s never been any problem. Boomer also loves car rides, he likes to lean out of the window and feel the wind. He’s a good dog and will make someone very happy!"

His minimum adoption donation is $145 plus a $10 fee for rabies registration with McLean County Animal Control.

He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
