Meet Sierra
Sierra was adopted out by IAR as a puppy. Sadly, this summer Sierra ended up at a local animal control after her owner passed away. She was terrified at the shelter and completely shut down. Once she came into a foster home, she immediately turned around.
Sierra is approximately 7-years old. She is VERY affectionate and clingy with people she knows. She can be a little cautious of strangers but warms up quickly. She has bursts of lab energy, but is generally a couch potato--she loves laying on top of pillows or behind her humans, like a backrest. She LOVES belly rubs and treats. Sierra is fine with other dogs and cats (though she is a little TOO interested in the contents of the litterbox).
**Note: Sierra came to us with a lump on our neck, which our vet removed and tested. The lump was found to be cancerous, but the vet was confident all the cancerous tissues had been removed. Any adopter will have to have their vet periodically monitor her lymph nodes.
Fill out an adoption application at http://illinoisanimalrescueinc.org/?page_id=4079.
All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, current on their vaccinations, heartworm tested if age appropriate; treated for fleas/ticks and urgently awaiting adoption!
The dogs and cats are so very appreciative of your support. Together we can save these forsaken loving 'innocents' who are condemned to death.
