Hello! My name is Corbin and I'm just a little guy looking for a nice family that I can settle down with. I'm a middle aged 8 year old Pomeranian just getting out of a pretty bad long term relationship. You see, I'm originally from rural northern Ohio and I lived with a TON of other dogs just like me. I wasn't special to the family I was with before and my friends and I were really scared when we lived there. When they decided I had outlived my earning potential and didn't want me anymore, they dropped me off at a local vet and this is how I came to Speak! I was so scared when I first arrived at what they call a "foster family". I thought these humans were going to be like my last family and hurt me so I hid a lot. But with the help of my foster brothers and sister, I'm learning that humans can actually be pretty awesome! My foster mom and dad introduced me to blankets, delicious good food, treats and this incredible stuff called peanut butter. You guys. I'm obsessed with it. I am still learning the ropes of living in a house, but my foster parents are very patient with me. Apparently I'm supposed to use the bathroom outside? Sometimes when I'm learning, I get very overwhelmed and I forget that I don't have to be afraid anymore. Even though I really like my foster home, my foster parents tell me I'm ready for my own family so they can continue helping dogs like me. My ideal family would be a quieter place with a fence where a scared dog can learn to trust and relax. I'm neutered (finally!) and up to date on all my shots and even current on my flea, tick and heartworm medication! It will probably take me a little bit to get used to everything, but I promise once I do, I will be the best little companion a family could ask for.
