Meet Kinder

Kinder: The Free-Spirited Young Girl
1-year-old, female, black and tan, German Shepherd
Good with other dogs: Yes
Good with children: Unknown
Good with cats: Unknown

This girl is such a doll and such a free spirit. She is still a puppy, so she’s got lots of energy. And sadly, she’s had her leg in a cast for a few weeks, which is extra tough for an active, young pup. She’s just waiting for the doctor’s approval to be an active puppy again when she has her cast removed. She was left at the county shelter with a broken leg, which sure wasn’t a great start to life for this sweet girl. But of course, Saving Paws knew we could help her.
Kinder’s foster mom just loves her sweet personality and giggles at her puppy hijinks. She’s a well-behaved young girl, but has a lot of energy and will need an active family to keep her happy and healthy.
She seems to be good with other dogs, but has been under restriction with her leg in a cast. She walks well on a leash, and is crate trained. Her very favorite thing in the world is belly rubs. Her foster mom says anytime you walk close to her she rolls right over for belly rubs, which is adorable.
After all her visits to the vet, she’s not particularly fond of going there, but otherwise loves to go for rides and socialize with people. She’s very friendly and enjoys meeting people.
We suspect that this girl will be a real hoot once she gets her cast off. She’s been restricted for too long for her taste. She’ll need to continue training, as she’s just a young pup, and will definitely need plenty of mental and physical stimulation.
If you’d like to give Kinder a home, please fill out our online application to get the approval process started. We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application. All staff members are volunteers and are not compensated for their time and expenses. Many juggle family and full-time careers while volunteering at Saving Paws. Please be patient, as sometimes it takes up to 5 days to process an application.
