Meet Holly
NOTE: Our volunteers travel to do home visits so we can only accept applications from Chatham Kent, Windsor, Sarnia, London and points within these boundaries.

Holly is an adorable, little, long haired Chihuahua. Her former life consisted of living with her mom and her son until their elderly owner passed away and they were surrendered to our rescue. Being in a new home has been a big change for her but she is adjusting very well. She is getting used to new things like a harness and a leash. Going for walks was also a new experience but Holly is learning that these outings are really fun.
Holly can be shy when she meets new people. She warms up once she feels comfortable and her true loving personality comes out. She now loves getting belly rubs and cuddling on the couch with a favourite human.
This sweet girl is used to being around other small dogs so she would be happiest in a home where she will have canine companionship. Holly does not pay much attention to cats so she will not mind having them around if her new home has one or two. Because Holly is so small and can be initially shy, she needs a home with a small dog(s) and only older, respectful children.
We were told Holly had a heart murmur but a second vet opinion suggested that she does not have one. Perhaps her first visit to the vet was stressful causing her little heart to skip a beat. Regardless, she loves running around the yard and enjoys her walks.
Holly is a door dasher so her new owner needs a plan in place to keep her safe when people are coming and going. Double front doors and a door going directly to a secure fenced yard are requirements.
