Cosette (Cosi) is the absolute cutest little thing we’ve had at the rescue in quite some time. This poor little girl didn’t start out so good though. We rescued her from the county shelter after hearing she’d been hit by a car and had severe injuries. She was very quickly put on the euthanasia list and we knew
we had to act quickly! We brought Cosette in and had her examined by our vets and found out she needed major FHO surgery.
This poor girl had been living in pain for far too long. We immediately put h
er on pain medication while we put together a plan of action and began fundraising. Well, talk about a transformation! Cosette did so well with her surgery that she was up and moving around much sooner than we thought. This little girl is a fighter. She was so thrilled to no longer be in
pain that we saw her personality start to shine and we were all under her spell.
She makes us laugh all the time with her cute faces and the silly way she loves to lay upside down and stare at everyone. She charms everyone
she meets! OK, we know, Cosette doesn’t really smile like some shepherds we’ve had. That’s probably her hound dog face. But trust us, this girl is super happy and absolutely loves attention. She gets around fabulously
now, loves her fur friend Jasmine and some of the other girls at the re
scue, and basically is the most easy - going mellow dog we’ve ever had. Nothing bothers this girl. Want to take a walk? She’s ready?
Want to lay around and watch Netflix? She’s ready? Want to go to the pet store? She’s in! This girl loves to do anything with people as long as she has a soft bed to come home to and lots of love. She’s got a super sweet disposition and we actually think she MIGHT be OK with cats. Like we said, this
girl is as mellow as they come. Respectful children would likely be OK too, although we recommend that all members of your family come meet Cosette. She seems to get along with all the dogs she’s been around too.
So, if you’re looking for a super easy, ready for anything, mellow as they come dog, this is your girl.
