Meet Gordon the bashful beau
Gordon was a found as a stray in Medfield but never claimed by an owner. Our vet thinks he is approximately 5 years old. He was previously neutered before coming to us, but where Gordon lived before coming to us is a mystery. We suspect he may have been a baker, as he begins purring and “making biscuits” as soon as he gets comfortable (check out the video!)
Gordon loves the company of other cats and would likely do well in a home with another cat to show him the ropes. We’ll often find him hanging out close to a feline friend in our cage-free room at the shelter. He would be a perfect companion for a lonely kitty. Gordon would not be a good fit for an active household or young children, as he will hide if things are too loud.
Gordon spent a month in a foster home and is now back at the shelter and is ready to be adopted. His foster mom shared that he is the perfect gentleman - licking his bowl clean after every meal, always using his scratching post, and keeping his litter box tidy. He especially loves Temptation treats and will gladly eat them right out of your hand. After some brushing and petting, he will even head-butt you for some more love! Gordon may take some time before getting comfortable in your home, but this gentle soul is sure to warm your heart.

If a cat is listed on our website, that means that cat is still available for adoption. The Shelter is staffed primarily by volunteers so adoption meetings take place on Saturdays from 11 - 1:00 during adoption hours, or by appointment. Our adoption fee for adult cats is $125 if 5 years old or younger and $75 for cats 6 years and up. The adoption fee includes the first set of vaccines, dewormer, microchip, combo testing (for FeLV and FIV) and spaying/neutering.
