Meet Jelly Belly
Medfield Animal Shelter has joined the nation-wide event Saturday August 19th. the, #ClearTheShelters event. All of our cats 6 months and over will be $25.
Jelly Belly is a smart and lucky cat. We don't know how she came to be on the streets of Worcester other than she was near an apartment complex, but she did manage to find her way to the backyard of a family that has fed and rescued stray cats for many years. Jelly went from being a cat living in the shadows and coming to the back door and peeking in to a cat that sat in the husband's lap taking cat naps.
On 8/3 she went to the vet and received all needed care including her spay and is now up for adoption. We estimate she is 3-4 years old. She may do best in a home with older children vs. youngsters. She was seen in the company of other cats so that may work for her to have cat friends.
To apply for a cat or kitten, please fill out the adoption application from this page:

If a cat is listed on our website, that means that cat is still available for adoption. The Shelter is staffed primarily by volunteers so adoption meetings take place on Saturdays from 11 - 1:00 during adoption hours, or by appointment. Our adoption fee for adult cats is $125 if 5 years old or younger and $75 for cats 6 years and up. The adoption fee includes the first set of vaccines, dewormer, microchip, combo testing (for FeLV and FIV) and spaying/neutering.
