Meet Cali

Cali here! You know like the beautiful, sunny state of California?? Those are some of my qualities as well. I'm a petite (less than 30lbs) Austrailian shepherd mix girl and I was born October 2015 which makes me a great age for just about any family. I was found injured in a field by a nice family who found my 4 day old puppies as well!! Much to their surprise my babies were all healthy and I was barely alive. After some much needed medical attention for my neck wound, along with the love and care of my foster families I am now on my way to being healthy and ready for adoption. I shouldn't have much trouble later on from my injury other than a scar. I always hear that I am the "best mama dog ever" so that must mean I've done a good job raising my puppies. They will be weaned around the beginning/middle of August and I would love to have a home to go to after they don't need me anymore. I'd love a sunny porch to bask on, maybe a couple little humans to snuggle with (I love kiddos, especially the older ones who just pet me all day long), and a warm place to lay my head every night. I haven't been cat tested and since I'm protective of my babies right now I haven't wanted any dogs around either, but since I've loved everyone I've met so far I bet I wouldn't mind a doggie friend in my new home. My babies are bound to drive my crazy eventually so put your application in soon so I can have a place to relax and get rid of my "mom brain"!

My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! If you're interested in meeting/adopting me, please visit rescueonespringfield.com/adoption-application/ and fill out the form! We do adopt about of state with vet references and video home check. *Adopter is responsible for coming to get the dog and returning the dog if they adoption does not work out*
