REQUIREMENTS: Secure yard with fence at least 5 feet high. Volunteers travel to do home visits so we can only accept applications from Chatham Kent, Windsor, Sarnia, London and points within these boundaries.

Activity level: High but does settle down
Fur: Shiny, short black fur with touches of white
Favourite Activities: Chewing a bone, playing with a dog her size, watching squirrels, going for walks
Gets along with other dogs? Does very well with dogs her size but no small dogs
Cats? Unknown

Ella is a sweet, young thing who will steal your heart once she gets over her initial shyness. She loves running and playing, whether it is with toys, with other dogs, or with her people. Being very observant, she can also be quite still, watching birds, squirrels and the like.

While we do not know how Ella is with children, we do know she is good with adults, especially those who pass her a treat or two. This pup is a quick learner and, like most of us, would do best with assured, patient, consistent training,.

Ella will happily and calmly ride in the car with you. She loves jumping so fencing in her new yard needs to be fairly high. Perhaps agility training is in her future?

Ella will thrive in a home where her need for high levels of activity will be met. She would prefer a home with another dog her own size and activity level. If she is an only pet, she would be happy where someone is often home to provide her with companionship and further training.
