Bella (SPONSORED) Pit Bull Terrier Mix Springfield, MO

Bella is a 3 year old American Pit Bull Terrier that weighs around 65 pounds. If dogs were crossfitters, she would be at the gym everyday! We don't know much about her past, but she came to Rescue One almost a year ago as a stray. Bella has made amazing progress in her foster home over the past 6 months. She is crate trained, knows all of her commands, and gets along with the kids and dogs in her home. She has come around to integrate the two cats in her foster home into her pack as well. Bella can be a bit intense when you first meet her because she is so excited to try and give you kisses! We are still working on personal space, but she doesn't know what the phrase means. If you are looking for a loyal, loving, protective, drama queen and all around smart dog she is your gal. Bella does require daily medication to keep her on the calm side and help regulate her intensity level. Her medication is reasonable and helps her anxiety which produces a lot of the mouthy, jumpy behavior. She makes progress everyday and continues to amaze her foster family. This girl will need a special home with a dominate, pit bully savvy owner who will continue to work on her training. She loves to train and use her mind, it's when she is at her best. Bella will also need a privacy fence she she can be quite springy. Bella is as loving as they come if you give her a chance and time to acclimate.
