Payton Basset Hound & Pit Bull Terrier Mix Minneapolis, MN

Hello there! My name is Payton! My foster mom says I am a hoot. I strolled into my foster home and acted like I have lived here for ten years. I am very relaxed and confident! I love, love, love my teenage foster brother and will spend hours snuggled up next to him. I am very friendly and I wag my tail like mad when anyone comes into a room. I have not been around small children yet. I get along with other dogs but I want to be the boss. I have so many good ideas! I would be great in a home with really chill dogs or as the only dog. I have met the barn cat and was pretty excited about it but we only had the one meeting so far... I am great in the house and have made myself right at home! On your lap, on the couch, etc. No problems with stairs, flooring, etc. I am pretty house broken, I always go when you bring me outside. Right now I sleep in the crate at night. During the day I hang out with my foster family. I am pretty low energy so far. I prefer just to hang with us and watch the action. I even know my name and come when I am called, of course! I just want to be with my people. Are you looking for an awesome dog? I will come over and fit right in!

Payton is estimated to be 2 years old and 55 lbs. Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom and dad are!), we are just guessing on breed.

All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative.
