Howdy ya'll! I go by Huck. I am a spry 9 yr old beagle guy and weigh in right at 25#. I've had a little bit of a rough year and am really hoping to finally get settled into my retirement home. I've been in doggie jail before and its no place for a guy my age. But I've got plenty of good years left to spend with the perfect family. I don't require a kennel when I'm left alone but I do just fine in one if needed. I also know to go outside to do my business so you wont have to worry about any messes. I get kinda lonely during the day so I would love to have another mellow doggie friend or a family that stays at home a majority of the time.

Now I do have a list of needs for my future living accommodations and amenities. A fenced yard is a must, I have a tendency to wander and don't realize how far I've went. I prefer a quiet place to rest, doggie friends are fine but I like to get away from all the craziness sometimes. Which means no puppies please, man are they annoying! I need this to be my last home, I've had way too many moves in my lifetime and am so ready to be settled. A good doctor for me, you see I was just started on medication for early heart failure but it doesnt slow me down or cause me any problems. I've still go plenty of good years left. If you can offer me these things than go ahead and put in an application.

Likes- going for walks or just going anywhere actually, chow time, and howling at the moon at night, older kids that just want to pet me and then leave me alone

Dislikes- being picked up, annoying puppies, these old man fatty tumors that have developed on my body, and references to Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer.
