Hello my name is Duchess, it is obvious that I am royalty, from my thick velvet like coat, my gorgeous golden eyes and my regal attitude. My story is one of discovery. I was found homeless, without a kingdom on the streets of Yuma and turned into the Humane Society, pregnant and hopeless. Within days Saving One Life found a foster to take me in. During the journey from Yuma to the Valley of the Sun, in a van filled with other cats and dogs, I gave birth to four beautiful babies, Ryder, Axle, Vanessa and Miles. It was a harrowing experience, but soon I was safe in a warm quiet home.
Fearful and confused it took me awhile to discover that people can be kind and loving. I crave the adoration, attention and the companionship of my people. Although it might take me a short time to assess a person and find them worthy, once I do they will find me to be extremely warm and loving. I like nothing more than a lap to sit in and someone to pet, massage and just overall pamper me.
I am well mannered, prefer to manicure my nails on a scratching post and always use the litter box. I do prefer a kingdom of my own, if you have other subjects you can expect me to take my place as Duchess or perhaps someday Queen.
Cats: I am territorial so may or may not accept another cat
Dogs: I am not a fan of dogs and prefer to not have a do gin my forever home.
Children: would probably be fine if gentle and respectful
Needs a Companion Animal: No
Health Information: All cats and Kittens will be spayed or neutered, FeLV/FIV tested, receive vaccinations appropriate for age, preventative deworming, and microchipping prior to adoption
